BEd/MEd Courses 2014 at Delhi University


Applications are invited by Department of Education (Central Institute of Education), 33, ChhatraMarg, University of Delhi, Delhi - 110007 for admission to the following Programmes of Academic Year 2014-15 :
  • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) 
  • M.Ed. (Master of Education): Full-Time and Part-Time
Eligibility Conditions: B.Ed

A. Eligibility Criteria (for Graduates)

(i) Bachelor’s degree or any other qualification recognized equivalent thereto from the
University of Delhi or any other recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks
in aggregate.



(ii) The candidate should have studied two (teaching) subjects (from List-I) for at least
200 (hundred) marks each at graduate level, and should have obtained an
aggregate minimum of 50% marks in each of the two (2) subjects.

B. Eligibility Criteria (for Honors Graduates)

(i) Honor’s degree from the University of Delhi or any other qualification recognized
equivalent thereto from any other recognized University, with a subject from the List-
I, and with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

(ii) Should have studied the Honors Graduation degree in one subject from List-I with a
total marks of more than 400, and should have obtained at least 50% aggregate
marks in that subject.

C. Eligibility Criteria (for Post-Graduates)

(i) A master’s degree or any other qualification recognized equivalent thereto in any
one of the subjects from List-I or List-II from the University of Delhi or any other
recognized University, with at least 50% marks in aggregate. (These candidates
shall teach the post-graduation subject as 2 (two) teaching subjects at Level A &
Level B)

(ii) If the candidate intends to teach a different subject (other than Masters Subject as a
second subject). The candidate should have studied one subject from List-I for at
least 200 (two hundred) marks at the graduate level and obtained 50% in aggregate.

OR

(i) A Master’s degree or any other qualification recognized equivalent thereto from the
University of Delhi or any other recognized University, with at least 50% marks in
aggregate in a subject not mentioned in List-I or List-II. Such candidates should have
studied two school (teaching) subjects from List-I for at least 200 (hundred) marks
each at graduate level.

(ii) The Candidate would be required to select two teaching subjects from List-I, should
have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in each of the two (2) subjects studied.

Eligibility Conditions: M.Ed

The candidates seeking admission to the Master of Education Programme (M.Ed.) Full-Time or Part-Time for the Academic session 2014-2015 (Full-Time) and academic session 2014-2016 (Part-Time) should have passed :

(a) (i) M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 50% or more marks in the aggregate, and

(ii) B.Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 55% or more marks in the aggregate.
OR

(b) (i) Masters Degree from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 50% or more marks in the aggregate, and

(ii) B.El. Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 55% marks in the Professional Component of the programme.

OR

(c) (i) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 60% or more marks in the aggregate, and

(ii) B.Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 60% or more marks in the aggregate.

OR
(d) (i) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 50% or more marks in the aggregate.

(ii) B.Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 55% or more marks in the aggregate; and

(iii) Two-years of teaching experience in a recognised educational institution.
OR

(e) B.El.Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 60% or more marks in the Liberal component and 60% or more marks in the Professional component of the said programme.
OR

(f) (i) B.El.Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 50% or more marks in the liberal component and 55% or more marks in the professional component of the said programme.

(ii) Two years of teaching experience in a recognised educational institution.

Note: Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. Part-time programme must be in Full time employment in Delhi/NCR. Such candidates will be required to produce a 'No Objection Certificate' from their employers mentioning that they are in Full-time employment. No Relaxation in attendance will be allowed on grounds of distance, employment, etc.

Visit the Delhi University website link (http://www.admissions.du.ac.in/pgadm/) and register yourself through the Online B.Ed./M.Ed Application Form
Demand Draft option can be exercised before filling the online application. Demand
Draft can be made from any bank in favor of ‘Registrar, University of Delhi’, payable
at Delhi. The Demand Draft number, Date and the bank name and other details need to
be filled in the online application. Candidates can send the DD by speed post (or
registered post) to the ‘B.Ed./M.Ed Admission Committee’, Department of Education,
33-ChhatraMarg, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007’. Candidates can also deposit
the DD in the drop box available at the Department of Education (also called CIE),
University Delhi.

Students with Physical Disability (PD)  250/-

Before the Demand Draft is sent by post or drop in the ‘Drop box’ at Department of
Education, University of Delhi, Candidates need to write the following on backside of the
draft: Application Form Number, Name of the Applicant, E-mail ID, Mobile Number,
B.Ed./M.Ed Entrance test fee.
