M.Sc at National Institute of Technology, Calicut apply by May 7


National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut has invited applications for admissions to MSc programmes for the 2014 session. The online application forms will be available till May 2. Eligible and interested candidates can apply latest by May 7.

Programmes offered:

  • M.Sc. Mathematics
  • M.Sc. Physics
  • M.Sc. Chemistry

Eligibility criteria:
M.Sc. degree in Mathematics 
Candidates should possess an , B.Sc. degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/ Statistics or three-main-system with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates are required to score at least 60 per cent marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a score of 10.

M.Sc. degree in Physics
Candidates are required to possess an B.Sc. degree in Physics with Physics as main and Mathematics as a subsidiary subject Or Physics and Mathematics among the main subjects. The candidates are required to score at least 60 per cent marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a score of 10.

 M.Sc. degree in Chemistry
Candidates are required to possess an B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Bachelors degree with Chemistry as a main subject and Mathematics as one of the subsidiaries or Bachelors degree through Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (three-main-system). Candidates are required to score at least 60 per cent marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a score of 10.

NOTE: Students appearing for final exam also can apply under Provisional Admission. He/she should submit his certificates with score at least 60 per cent marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a score of 10 by 17 September 2014

 Selection process:
The eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the written test.

The candidates are required to take a hard copy of the submitted application form and send it to The Chairperson, PG Admissions, National Institute of Technology , Calicut, NIT Campus, P.O. Calicut - 673601.

The candidates are required to send an application fee of Rs 600 in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Director NIT Calicut and payable at Calicut.
