Summer Internship 2015 in Cryptology at ISI Kolkata


R.C. Bose Centre for Cryptology and Security, under Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is inviting applications for its two-month summer internship program in Cryptology

Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria for eligibility is absolutely strict. In case you have any doubt about your eligibility, feel free to contact the coordinator of the program for clarification. 
  • 2nd/3rd year of BE/BTech -- Computer Science / CSE / Electronics
  • 2nd/3rd year of BSc -- Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / CSE
  • 2nd/3rd year of B.Math. / B.Stat. or equivalent
  • 1st year of MSc -- Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / CSE
  • 1st year of M.Math. / M.Stat. or equivalent
  • 3rd/4th year of Integrated ME/MTech/MS -- Computer Science / CSE / Electronics
  • 3rd/4th year of Integrated MSc -- Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / CSE

Selection Process

Note that submitting application does not guarantee intake into the program. The first selection will be based on the credentials of the applicants, and the selected candidates would be required to go through a three-week training program during 18 May - 5 June 2015. To judge the progress of the interns, an evaluation will be performed at the end of this training. 

Only those candidates who successfully complete the initial training program, and qualify the evaluation, will be allowed to undertake a five-week project, during 8 June - 17 July 2015, under a faculty member as a part of the summer internship. The complete duration of the internship program is eight weeks, during 18 May - 17 July 2015.

Note: The participants of this program are expected to get stipends, enough to cover their travel to-ond-fro Kolkata (if necessary), local accommodation (if necessary), and other sustenance expenses during the course of the internship.
